Quaria Poster
London based design studio Two Times Elliott created a poster for the release of the Quaria typeface collection that captures and visualizes the idea behind the design. At its center is an excerpt from a conversation between two chatbots. This symbol of our new reality, shaped by machine learning and artificial intelligence, is placed in context with a traditionally crafted book title embossing plate that has been used for hundreds of years. Past, present, and future blend metaphorically, just like the design of the Quaria family.
The Quaria family is a journey through 500 years of typography, incorporating various visual elements from all eras up to the modern day and the potential future of type design. The name is derived from the German word "Antiquariat" (antiquarian bookstore).
